Sail & Ski has the BEST winter selection in the central texas area! whatever it might be you need for the slopes they will have it! And to mention their rental shop for all of our snow gear was perfect for us on the slopes! It saved us so much time and money renting from them here in austin rather than having to wait in line on the mountain and pay more for equipment that is not very good. They spent a long time with my family and I to get fitted to make sure everthing was perfect!
I want to applaud the outstanding service I received at the Sail & Ski Center last week when I bought my first pair of ski boots. Ali and the rest of the team spent an hour making sure I purchased the perfect pair of boots. You would think I was buying a boat given the time spent reviewing every intricate detail about my choices in ski boots. I highly recommend this place for any locals looking to by ski apparel.
I purchased a yacht that was on consignment with this firm and I was very pleased with the entire process. I used this firm to repair and service my yacht and they are awesome, on time and report to me after each service. I believe them to be reasonably priced.
Can't speak to the sailing side - but for ski gear we recently purchased some 2012 season (new) skis and boots for over 50% off and the sales staff were VERY knowledgeable about the options they had availale, spent over an hour measuring and fitting my wife's foot to a boot with special requirements coming out of knee surgery roughly a year ago and it made all the difference in the quality of her experience 5 days skiing on the mountain vs using rental gear in previous years (and she's a 20 year+ skier). we'll definitely go back for any major alpine skiing equipment purchases here.
We decided to buy a new boat, and Sail & Ski carried the brand, Bayliner, we were looking for. I sent in an online request and Roger was very quick to call me back with several options in the range we were looking at. On my first day off I met Roger at the dealership shortly after they opened, and settled on a closeout 2012 model that was sale priced combined with factory rebates. I set an appointment with Roger for 4:30 that afternoon to complete the paperwork and take delivery. The particular boat we wanted was in their Lakeway showroom which was closed on Mondays, which caused Roger and his staff to jump through a few extra hoops to get the delivery done by our appointment time, which they not only met, but did so with smiles. Roger and everyone else at Sail and Ski were exceptionally nice and accommodating. Even as we walked by other employees in different departments we were offered "congratulations" and "thank you". Being in retail I was more than impressed. We were previous boat owners so I declined the option of meeting Roger at the lake so he could demo how the boat works. Our first time out, on Sunday, everything worked great except for the speedo, which would have been discovered if I would have taken Roger up on his lake demo offer. I called them on Monday and was told to bring it by, they would take a look at it while I waited. They quickly discovered a broken coupler and by the time I walked inside to use the restroom and walk back out they had the problem fixed. I realize not all problems can be fixed that fast, but I definitely appreciated the customer service. Even though we purchased an entry level Bayliner (175BR) not once were we treated any less than if we were buying $1M boat. Thank you Sail & Ski!
I have been a customer of Sail and Ski for over 15 years now and they have always provided top quality products and services.
I highly recommend to my friends and family every chance I get.
We just bought a boat from Sail and Ski and were very impressed with the service we received from Roger and the rest of the staff. They went above and beyond to make modifications to our boat and trailer so that it would fit in our garage - and this wasn't a fancy or expensive boat. Years ago we also bought a pontoon boat from them and loved it too though this was before the time of Yelp. They are definitely the place to go to buy a boat in Austin - keep up the great work Sail and Ski!
Great Shop for your Waterskiing Needs
My family just loves the Sail & Ski Center. We took our kids there to get fitted for their waterskiing equipment, but before we actually purchased it, we took part of their try before you buy program. What a great customer service tool! They were great with us and made sure the kids were comfortable and happy after using the equipment out for a while. We highly recommend them.
We love this store!
My family and I have been customers of Sail & Ski for years and their customer service and attention to detail is unmatched by anyone else in Austin. We have bought 3 Sea Ray boats from them over the years and their salesman are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and not pushy like most of the salesman you come across in the industry. Whenever we have needed anything, be it for the lake or for our annual family ski trip to the mountains, they have had us more than covered over the years. Most people don't know that they even rent snow ski and boarding equipment and they only charge us for the days that we are using it, so when we drive, we aren't paying a daily fee and not using them. If you are into the lake or even the snow, Sail & Ski is the #1 place I would recommend. Thank you Sail & Ski!
just a great store...
Sail & Ski is the BEST store! No matter how often I go in there, the people are always so helpful. They have great stuff. I can always count on my kids liking what I buy whether it's a great pair of sunglasses or a new snowboard. I would reccommend this store to anyone who is going on a snow vacation!
Fantastic selection! very friendly and knowledgeable staff...
Sail and Ski is the best boat dealer they have always took care of me I will be there customer and the service department is awesome.
Everyone who works here are soo helpful and friendly. I was able to find everything here for my first ski trip - and the employees were always available to answer any question I had. They were even generous enough to take back a pair a ski gloves that I had already ripped the tags off of.
